HEALTH
It is not the herbs that are used that do the curing or produce the results. It is the body's use of the herbs and the chemicals that compose the herbs that produces the result. This is usually an unconscious process. The average being has to be co-dependent, in American Western orthodox culture, upon the use of medication to achieve certain results, but it is as much the expectations of the physicians, the biochemists, over many years, and the brainwashing involved that produce the result, as it is the actual medication itself, you see.
Spiritual beings learn to use psychosomatics consciously, to heal, rather than become co-dependent on any particular philosophy or technique. A personal, homegrown ideology means "Certain external things make me feel more empowered so that I can heal the vexations that irritate me." But it is you who are doing the healing. It is true that herbs and various techniques will assist the process, but still, in part, 50% of it is the intentionality behind it, the will to improve and to cooperate with the healing process. "I accept the symptoms, whatever they may be. I am at peace with them and I understand it is a communication and I also give myself the suggestion that this process is leading to an excellent end result of adaptation that is superior to any experience before, and that when it fulfills its purpose, it shall pass."
Illness (if I must use such a charged and stereotyped term),
of whatever degree, is a method of regaining equilibrium.
Basically it means there is the increased need for self-care, that
one has temporarily stepped out of certain comfort zones and is
experiencing some distress in the transition process as a new
comfort zone is being established. The use of herbs and vitamin
therapies are synergistically functional, rather than either
therapy alone. Food is the best medicine, indeed, and a portion of
assisting the natural processes of the physical body is the
understanding that a symptom does not mean something's wrong, but
often, that something is right, because symptoms are the
transitional externalization of change, and change is what
maintains health, homeostasis, balance.
. . . .
Massages stimulate biochemicals stored in muscle mass and
organ systems in the flesh vehicle. The adequate supplementation
of nutritional substances and antioxidants of, perhaps, also
herbal nature, every three hours after treatment for nine hours
will be adequate for most clients--varied, of course, according to
the climatic dictates of each individual's needs. Toxins released
into the bloodstream, as a result of medical treatments and also
lifestyle patterns, that are not neutralized by antioxidants and
plenty of water to flush them out of the system can reintegrate
into cell structures because of incomplete elimination, and
reinitiate a whole cycle of health difficulties, including mood
swings and psychological states reminiscent of mild to severe
substance abuse intoxication. Because bodywork, acupuncture,
acupressure and a host of additional therapies can quite
frequently cause release into the lymph and bloodstream of
accumulated cell toxins and related chemical compounds, you are
advised to inquire of nutritional and herbal cleansings to use as
an adjunct to holistic therapies, as a finishing step, to ensure
your treatments. (Ask your physician.)
